Meet acclaimed authors of fiction, history, memoir, poetry, children’s literature, politics, mystery and more at our home at historic Eastern Market. Don’t miss our lively panel discussions, book signings, the full slate of family-friendly activities in our bustling Children’s Corner. and poetry readings at Tunnicliff’s Tavern right after the main event. (Psst … you can even sign up to read your own verse to an enthusiastic crowd.) Best of all, this beloved literary event is free and open to the public!

Activities for Children

Visit the Children’s Corner for coloring pages, poetry and opportunities to preview books on sale. Learn more about Frankie and Friends, building communities, What Jewish Looks Like, diving, the White House Clubhouse, and The Hundred Choices Department Store. Authors will be nearby to sign books, answer questions and meet readers! Activities and events will take place in the Children’s Corner as visitors pass through, so visit us on your own schedule! Be sure to catch our Children’s Panel, too!

11:10 – Fresh Takes From Children's Authors

Four of our children’s authors discuss writing for young readers amid book bans and other challenges in this complex cultural moment. Moderated by Caroline Kusin Pritchard (What Jewish Looks Like, co-written with Liz Kleinrock). Panelists include Liz Kleinrock (Come and Join Us! 18 Holidays Celebrated All Year Long), Hena Khan (We Are Big Time), and Deepa Iyer (We Are the Builders!).
